DR. WALTER HOORMANN Dipl.-lng., Dr.-Ing., (German Patent Attorney,
European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney) studied General Mechanical Engineering at the Hannover
University. After several years in which he first worked as a R&D Engineer, and then as Scientific
Assistant at Hannover University, he wrote his thesis in the Vibration/Oscillation Handling Technology,
particularly the damping by the conveyed material, and the mass coupling thereof. As a Patent Attorney he
works in various fields of mechanical engineering, particularly conveying technology. Besides his work as
an Attorney he gives lectures in Industrial Property Law at the Wilhelms-University at Münster
(Nordrhein Westfalen).
