ROLAND STERZEL, Dipl.-Phys. Dr. phil.
nat., studied physics at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University of Frankfurt.
The subject of his diploma thesis was induction heating of isolators and
semiconductors and this work was sponsored by a leading company in the glass
industry. His doctoral thesis in solid state physics was concerned with the
preparation and characterization of inter metallic quasicrystals.
Subsequently, he gained two years of industrial experience as project
manager of the Rational AG. His fields of interest are material sciences,
sensors as well as measuring and control technology.
