DR. ROLAND LIESEGANG Dipl.-Ing., Dr.-Ing., (German Patent Attorney,
European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney) studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of
Karlsruhe. After graduation he was involved in research and development for Siemens AG in automatic
process control. Later he became Assistant Professor at the Department of Machine Elements and Automotive
Engineering of the University of Karlsruhe where he acquired his PhD. He is active in many fields of
mechanical and electrical engineering and specialises in automotive engineering, surface coating
