RUDOLF BÖCKENHOLT, Dr. jur., LL.M.,
(Attorney at Law, Certified IP-Lawyer, admitted at the European Trade Mark
Office) studied law at the University of Münster with special emphasis on
Intellectual Property. He joined the postgraduate scholarship programme
“International Studies in Intellectual Property Law” where he received his
Master of Laws degree, LL.M., with periods of study at the School of Law,
University of Exeter (UK), at the Technical University of Dresden and the
German Patent and Trademark Office in Munich. At the Institute for
Information, Telecommunication and Media Law, School of Law, University of
Münster, he obtained his doctorate for a comparative study on Trade Mark and
Copyright law. His practice focuses mainly on trade mark law and unfair
competition matters, especially emphasising contentious work. He mainly
advises medium size and large international clients in the areas of media
and consumer products. Moreover, Dr. Böckenholt is increasingly active in
litigation work concerning technical property rights, with a particular
