NILS T. F. SCHMID Dipl.-Ing., (German Patent Attorney, European
Patent and Trade Mark Attorney) studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Karlsruhe
and at the California Institute of Technology (CALTECH) in Pasadena, Los Angeles. Besides he graduated
from the École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Metiers (ENSAM) in Paris with the Diplôme d'études
Approffondies in the field of development and production of car bodies. He is active in many fields of
mechanical engineering and is particularly interested in automotive engineering, site engineering and
medical engineering.
