MARTIN WIRTZ Dr., (Attorney at Law,
admitted at the European Trade Mark Office) studied law at the Universities
of Passau, Freiburg, Cologne and at Queens' College, Cambridge, (Diploma in
Legal Studies- Degree). He obtained his doctorate with a comparative study
of control collecting societies and he regularly publishes articles dealing
with trademark and copyright law as well as the law against unfair
competition. Amongst others, he periodically writes articles for “Notice for
Patent Attorneys“ and is co-author of the “Practice Handbook of Intellectual
Property on the Internet” and is co-author of the Commentary Götting/Nordemann
regarding the law against unfair competition. Since September 2007 he has
lectured on Intellectual Property Law at the University of Applied Sciences
Schmalkalden as a visiting lecturer. He works in all fields of intellectual
property matters, with a particular emphasis on trademark and copyright law
as well as the law against unfair competition, including litigation. A
further focal point of his work is patent infringement proceedings.
