DR. MARION TÖNHARDT Dipl.-Phys., Dr.rer.nat., (German Patent Attorney,
European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney) studied physics and computer sciences at the Technical University
of Braunschweig. After graduation, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Theoretical Physics
Department. During a stay at a Chinese Patent Attorneys Office she gained experience in the field of
intellectual property rights in South East Asia. She is particularly interested in the protection of
computer software and also in patent related problems occurring in connection with the Internet.
