MICHAEL HARTIG, Dipl. Phys., Dr. ès sciences, (German Patent Attorney, European Patent and Trade Mark Attorney) studied physics at the Ludwig- Maximilians-Universität, Munich. After finishing his diploma he investigated measurements of ultra fast electron scattering processes in semiconductor quantum wells using pulsed laser systems at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) at Lausanne, Switzerland, where he gained his PhD. Since 2003 he has been a patent attorney and partner at BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT. He works in various fields of intellectual property, but mainly in patent prosecution including the preparation of patent applications and conducting proceedings at the patent offices for domestic and foreign clients. His technical field of practice includes electronics, semiconductor physics, laser technology, medical technology, software and universal physical applications. Dr. Hartig is an instructor of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys where he teaches patent attorney candidates.
