DR. MARCUS ENGELHARD Dipl.-Biochem., PhD (Cambridge) studied biology,
chemistry and biochemistry at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, England, and the universities of
Frankfurt/Main and Witten-Herdecke (both Germany). After graduation he did his PhD at the University of
Cambridge (Darwin College and Department of Biochemistry) on the folding and structure of proteins as
well as high-resolution NMR-techniques for structure elucidation. After his PhD he was a postdoctoral
fellow at the Department of Biochemistry in Cambridge being involved in NMR structural research and
undergraduate teaching. His interests focus on all aspects of biochemistry, molecular biology,
pharmacology and biotechnological applications.
