LORENZ HANEWINKEL Dipl.-Phys., (German and European Patent and Trade
Mark Attorney) studied physics at the Technical University of Aachen. Thereafter he was involved in
computer R&D with Dr. Konrad Zuse and later worked as sales manager at Philips-Valvo company. Since 1964
he headed research, development and JP-matters at Nixdorf Computer AG, Germany, in the field of
microprocessors and communication equipment. He has been lecturing at the University Paderborn on
patent and trade mark law since 1978 and started his own patent firm in 1979.
