DR. ALISON LAWSON (British Patent
Attorney, European Patent Attorney) graduated MA (Hons.) in materials
science at the University of Oxford, where she developed an interest in
biological and biomedical materials. She obtained a D.Phil degree from the
University of Oxford after conducting research, funded by the Wellcome
Trust, into the development of a synthetic bone substitute. In her patent
work, she specialises in inventions relating to materials science and
mechanical engineering, in particular in the automotive sector. She also
advises on all aspects of trademark and design law.
