Forrester & Boehmert was created in 1977, in preparation for the emerging European Patent Office, by a partial merger of Forrester Ketley & Co in the UK and Boehmert & Boehmert in Germany, and was dedicated to representation at the European Patent Office. The Forrester & Boehmert partnership has been a success story for over 30 years. Times, and client requirements, change, however. The partners of Forrester & Boehmert have therefore decided that the time is right to demerge back into the respective national partnerships of Boehmert & Boehmert and Forrester Ketley & Co, now trading as Forresters, and to handle representation at the European Patent Office within the national partnerships.
Therefore on 1 April 2012, the Forrester & Boehmert partnership has ceased to exist.
The demerger has no practical effect on the service you now receive. On the date of the demerger, Boehmert & Boehmert has assumed responsibility for work previously carried out by the German partners of Forrester & Boehmert. Similarly, Forresters has assumed responsibility for work previously carried out by the British partners of Forrester & Boehmert.
